No. Every job is unique in its own way and many different variables can come into play for each project. I would need to come out and look at your project, or your blueprints for new construction.

Can you use cheaper materials, or not do as much prep work to save me some money?

No. I will not compromise my quality by using cheaper products or cutting corners. The old saying goes "you get what you pay for.” If you want the best then it will cost you a little more now, but in the long run it will pay off huge dividends by a longer lasting job, which means lesser expenses for you.
